As you may have noticed, we have slowed down posting since Wednesday. This is partially due to our recuperation from covering the grueling six-week District 8 campaign, but also because we have been discussing the future of PoliticsFLA.

The biggest change will launch on Monday, when we replace the twice-daily “Latest Headlines” updates with more frequent and engaging news updates. The headlines posts have always received lackluster interest from our readers, but we believe that summarizing and commenting on breaking news stories throughout the day will lead to more interest and higher popularity.

Our well-regarded original feature articles will continue largely unchanged, although there will be an ongoing emphasis on exploring stories that most media outlets have overlooked.

In the six weeks since we launched PoliticsFLA, we have been visited more than 9,750 times and we look forward to growing that number exponentially as we improve our coverage and connect with more readers in search of a concise source for the Florida political news and commentary. There are many exciting developments on the horizon, so be sure to stay tuned.
